Gunna sues concert promoters for fraud and breach of contract

Gunna has filed a lawsuit against concert promoters over alleged fraud and breach of contract.

The College Park, Georgia, rapper performed at an X Games event in Aspen in January and claims that he signed a contract guaranteeing him $500,000. However, he claims he wasn’t paid.

According to TMZ, his touring company alleges that the agreement with Mickle and Mickle Productions requested a further $250,000 if the $500,000 hadn’t been paid by the first deadline.

They claim that Gunna fulfilled his contract but still hasn’t received payment for his time and efforts.

Aspen 2026 took place at Buttermilk Mountain between January 23rd and January 25th, serving as the 25th anniversary of the sports event.

The lawsuit claims that the promoter has been telling Gunna’s team that the money for his booking fee is tied up in gold commodities.

They also allegedly told his team that he would be paid with money from a “major alcohol brand” and the St Patrick’s Day parade in New York City.

As a result of the alleged fraud and breach of contract, Gunna is asking for over $750,000 in damages.

The 32-year-old rapper released his latest album, The Last Wun, in August 2025. It debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 with 80,000 units in its first week. The project, which was his final release on Young Thug’s YSL Records, included features from Offset, Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Asake.

Gunna is currently touring Europe on his Wun World Tour, with upcoming dates in London, Paris, Berlin, Manchester, and Amsterdam. He previously performed across North America in November and December, followed by dates in Africa and Australia earlier this year.
