G-Eazy has been arrested for assault

G-Eazy has been arrested and charged for assault in New York after an incident occurred outside of a hotel.

Allegedly, the rapper attacked two men outside of his hotel in Manhatten on Friday evening. G-Eazy was reportedly staying at The Standard Hotel, which is where the altercation took place.

Billboard state that G-Eazy has been accused of throwing punches in the face of both men at around 1am. Thankfully, both of the alleged victims weren’t hospitalised after the incident. However, they do accuse him of “causing pain and redness”.

The event took place after he attended the MTV VMAs in Brooklyn. Police have stated to NBC that Eazy was arrested on misdemeanour charges before being released, but he will have to appear in court at a later date. Although it is yet to be confirmed when.

This incident isn’t the first time that he has got into trouble with the law. In 2018, G-Eazy was arrested after attacking a security guard outside of a Stockholm club, plus charged with the possession and use of narcotics. The rapper accepted he was guilty and was given probation.

Last month, G-Eazy shared the follow-up to his hit 2014 song, ‘Tumblr Girls’, and released its sequel, ‘Running Wild (Tumblr Girls 2)’. The track sees Eazy reflect upon how much his life has changed since he released the first part of the series in the last seven years.

The rapper also announced his fifth album, These Things Happen Too, although it remains unknown whether the new single will appear on the record.
