G-Eazy has shared the follow-up to his hit 2014 song, ‘Tumblr Girls’, and released its sequel, ‘Running Wild (Tumblr Girls 2)’.
The rapper has announced his fifth album, These Things Happen Too, although it remains unknown whether the new single will appear on the record. ‘Running Wild (Tumblr Girls 2)’ sees Eazy reflect upon how much his life has changed in the last seven years since he released the first part of the series.
“7 years ago I made ‘Tumblr Girls’ in an air bnb when I was living out of a suitcase working on my first album – unsigned – telling stories I hadn’t even got the chance to personally live yet. I was still a kid on the outside chasing a dream,” G-Eazy wrote in an Instagram caption announcing the single.
He added: “I appreciate your patience over the last few years as I’ve been trying to put my all into making sure this album does it all justice. I appreciate every step of the journey and every single person who’s been a part of it.”
Meanwhile, more new music is imminent from G-Eazy after fans clocked an unreleased track from him making an appearance in the trailer for the upcoming Netflix showTitletown High. The track is titled ‘Breakdown’ and sees him collaborate with Demi Lovato.
