French Montana brings out Andrew Tate at Romanian festival

Bronx rapper and former Terror squad member French Montana recently performed at a festival in the Eastern European country of Romania, and, to the shock of many fans, he invited the controversial influencer Andrew Tate onto the stage during his performance.

Andrew Tate is one of the most polarising social media influencers on the internet and has been criticised for his negative influence on young men and for preaching what many perceive to be misogynistic views.

On July 14th, while performing at a festival on the beach, Montana welcomed Tate onto the stage. However, Tate is in Romania on house arrest as he awaits a trial on charges of human trafficking.

The internet star, who previously ran a female webcam business, was detained by Romanian law enforcement in December 2022 after he was accused of rape, human trafficking and forming a criminal gang to sexually exploit women.

His brother, Tristan Tate, was also arrested in 2022, and the siblings have been on house arrest in the country ever since, regularly hosting a podcast from their Romanian mansion. Andrew Tate has been interviewed by heavyweights such as Piers Morgan and Patrick Bet-David in Romania since the arrest.

Although many love Tate, others dislike him, and hip-hop fans have said, it doesn’t reflect well on Montana. On X (formerly Twitter) user wrote, “This isn’t a good look for French Montana. He’s already a controversial person and he’s still managing to make himself look even worse.”

While another commented, “French Montana bringing out Andrew Tate during a performance in Romania might be the worst thing he’s done since everything that unfolded with Mac & Cheese 5“.

Many recalled when Montana was sued for sexual assault and battery in 2020, and many have insisted that the pair together is the height of toxic masculinity. You can see Andrew Tate on stage with Montana in the video below.
