Florida rapper claims Drake stole his beat for ‘Iceman’
Florida rapper 1900Rugrat has claimed that Drake stole his beat for his Iceman album.
Drizzy released his Iceman project, along with two other albums, on May 15th, which includes a song called ‘Little Birdie’.
Taking to social media, 1900Rugrat alleged that Drake copied elements of ‘Intro’ from his 2025 project, Porch 2 the Pent.
The rapper claimed he previously shared unreleased music with Drake’s team after they reached out to him.
“So when I made the intro to my first album, like a year and a half ago, Drake was hitting me up around that time and wanted to hear music,” he said. “So I sent 10 songs through and they was all finna be on my album because I didn’t want nobody to steal my shit and I know how people move.”
Rugrat went on to claim that Drake’s team showed interest in the song, but he declined because he wanted to use it himself.
“The one they took a liking to was the intro,” he said. “I said, ‘No, you can’t have this song.’ He wanted me on the album still. He said, ‘I’m gonna send you a verse too.’ Never sent a verse.”
He stated that he listened to Iceman and immediately recognised the production. “I went back and listened to the intro on my first album,” he said. “Twin… that’s the only beat I ever produced and sat there and made myself. Don’t rip my shit and repitch it like that.”
Drake and Rugrat appeared to have a positive relationship in the past, with the Toronto rapper posting his music online. During an interview in March 2025, Rugrat said, “That shit had me more than turnt. I woke my girl up like, ‘Yo, Drake just posted my shit.’”
Rugrat has over 622,000 Instagram followers and 1.9 million monthly Spotify listeners. The song, ‘Intro’, has 1.1 million streams on the platform.
