Drake surprise-releases three new albums: ‘Iceman’, ‘Habibti’ and ‘Maid of Honour’

Drake has surprise-released three new albums on the same day.

Drizzy returned on May 15th with the release of three new projects, after previously announcing only one.

One is the previously confirmed Iceman album, while the others are titled Habibti and Maid of Honour.

Iceman, the more rap-focused project, consists of 18 tracks with a 68-minute running time and includes features from Future, 21 Savage, and Molly Santana.

Habibti, coming in at 36 minutes, has an R&B focus with guest appearances from PARTYNEXTDOOR, Sexyy Red, Loe Shimmy, and Qendresa.

Maid of Honour carries more of a house sound, similar to 2022’s Honestly, Nevermind. At 45 minutes, the album includes features from Central Cee, Sexyy Red, Popcaan, Stunna Sandy, and Iconic Savvy.

All three albums have been released under his OVO label under Republic Records and Universal Music Group, with whom he is currently in a legal battle.

Drake first teased Iceman during a performance in Perth, Australia, as part of his Anita Max Win Tour last year. “When the time is right, I’ll be back with another album – a one-on-one conversation with y’all that you need to hear,” he said on stage at the time.

Iceman serves as Drizzy’s first release since the height of his beef with Kendrick Lamar, which included diss tracks like ‘Not Like Us’, ‘Family Matters’, ‘Meet the Grahams’, and ‘Push Ups’.

The Toronto rapper released his last album, For All the Dogs, in 2023. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart with 402,000 units in its first week. The project featured J Cole, 21 Savage, Yeat, Bad Bunny, SZA, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Chief Keef, Sexyy Red, Lil Yachty, and more.
