Drake announces PARTYNEXTDOOR collab album ‘$ome $exy $ongs’

Drake has officially announced his new collaborative album with PARTYNEXTDOOR. The upcoming project is titled $ome $exy $ongs and will be released on February 14th, which coincides with Valentine’s Day.

Drizzy took to his social media channels on February 3rd to share a trailer for the album. The clip previews new music while showing Drizzy kicking back in the corner of a club and singing the lyrics. In the caption, he wrote, “$OME $EXY $ONGS 4 U FEBRUARY 14.”

During a live stream with Adin Ross in December, Drake admitted that $ome $exy $ongs was one of his favourite albums and something he’s always wanted to make. “I’m loaded [for 2025.],” he said. “Me and PARTY’s [album is] honestly one of the projects I’m most proud of in my life.”

He continued, “I’ve always wanted to make a full album of that – of our sound, Toronto sound, R&B. So it’s just the best that both of us have to offer. Listening party has to be in the city. I think ’25 will be a shift. I think people wanna just get back to like just dropping their shit.”

At the time, he revealed they were working on 15 songs. The pair have collaborated many times over the years on songs such as ‘Loyal’, ‘Come and See Me’, ‘Recognize’, ‘With You’, ‘Members Only’, ‘Preach’, ‘Over Here’, ‘Since Way Back’ and ‘Wednesday Night Interlude’.

Drake announced the album, previously thought to be titled Hometown Love, in August last year, revealing it would be released when the weather got colder. “I know all you girls are outside and when it gets a little chilly, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake album will be right there for you,” he said at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage.

In October, OVO’s PARTYNEXTDOOR described the album as a “classic.” Speaking on SiriusXM, he said, “I have had an insane week. You guys know what’s coming for you. Party and Drake have a classic. And we, you know, we trying to put the finishing touches on it. So yeah, it’s a jam-packed month for me filled with the things that I love to do the most.”

Drake released his last album For All the Dogs in October 2023, while his last collaborative album, Her Loss with 21 Savage, dropped in November 2022. As for PARTYNEXTDOOR, he released PartyNextDoor 4 in April last year.
