Drake confirms release date for 'For All The Dogs'

After months of fans waiting with bated breath, Drake has now confirmed the release date for his upcoming album, For All The Dogs.

Today, Drake took to social media to announce the release date for his album For All The Dogs, which is now scheduled for September 22nd. It is connected to his debut poetry book, Titles Ruin Everything: A Stream of Consciousness, which arrived in June. Sharing the news on Instagram, Drizzy simply wrote: “FOR ALL THE DOGS SEPTEMBER 22”.

“I made an album to go with the book,” Drake explained after the book went on sale earlier this year. “They say they miss the old Drake girl don’t tempt me. FOR ALL THE DOGS.”

Since then, Drake has continued to tease the new record, claiming in late July that the album would arrive “in like two weeks”. Of course, it never materialised, but he shared the album’s artwork a month later. The project’s cover was hand drawn by his son Adonis and is a childlike interpretation of a grey dog.

In other Drake news, he gave a fan $50,000 (£39,700) to pay for furniture at a recent show. The gregarious act occurred at the Canadian’s Las Vegas show at the T-Mobile Arena. He is currently on an extensive North American tour.

After he spotted a fan holding a sign, Drake said, “He got a sign that says, ‘Drake, I spent my furniture money on your two shows, OVO for life’. You know what, my man, your furniture money, Imma give you 50 bands ’cause I love you. Make sure he gets his money tonight. That’s some real shit, I fuck with you.”

In fan footage, the rapper can be heard saying: “Listen, this is what life is about. I’m trying to teach you something tonight. I want you to understand something tonight.”
