Drake cancelled his Brazil Lollapalooza set following a night out with 50 Cent

Canadian superstar and ‘God’s Plan’ rapper Drake has decided to cancel his Lollapalooza appearance in Brasil following an A-list 50 Cent event held in a Miami strip club. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time the Toronto native has decided to let down Lollapalooza fans who have paid to see him.

The musician (real name Aubrey Graham) shortened his Argentina Lollapalooza set earlier this month. Now in a very disrespectful and nonchalant manner, he has decided not to turn up in Brazil.

Lollapalooza announced to its attendees that Drake would no longer perform via social media. The statement put out by the festival read, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Drake is without members of his sound and production team, essential to the realization of the Lollapalooza show in São Paulo. Drake was excited to perform for his fans in Brazil. Unfortunately, this is beyond his control. Sorry.”

Following Drake’s cancellation, Lollapalooza called upon the beloved EDM DJ and producer Skrillex to provide an impromptu replacement set. The festival offered full refunds to attendees who chose not to stay for the festival’s final day. This year, the Sao Paolo festival experienced many problems as artists cancelled in droves. According to CNN Brazil, other musicians that failed to fulfil their performance duties include Willow [Smith], Dominic Fike, Blink-182, Omar Apollo, and 100 Gecs, all of whom pulled out at the last minute.

CNN Brazil managed to obtain footage of an event held by 50 Cent at Miami’s ‘Booby Trap On The River’ strip club, which features Drake. Many have speculated that Graham, following the event on Saturday night, Drake was tired, so he felt it was best to cancel. It’s yet to be confirmed that Drake’s attendance of 50 Cent’s party was the sole reason that Graham couldn’t make his Lollapalooza set. Nonetheless, fans are both angry and disappointed with Drake.
