Drake announces release date for ‘Nokia’ music video

Toronto emcee Drake is still riding high off the success of his collaborative album with PARTYNEXTDOOR, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U. ‘Nokia’, managed to chart and was the album’s most successful song, and, as such, Drake decided to film a music video for it.

The video’s release has been slightly delayed. However, Drizzy recently reassured fans that a video is on the way and suggested it is just in the editing stage. Taking to Instagram, the ‘Family Matters’ rapper asserted that it will get released on March 28th.

Still, Drake fans are disappointed and want more visuals to accompany some of the other popular tracks. Although his fans are currently calling out for more, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U was widely criticised and considered an uninspiring body of work after its release.

Despite the negativity it received, the album is reportedly the fastest-selling album of 2025, with over 500,000 album-equivalent units sold so far. If the project continues to maintain such momentum, it may soon be able to acquire a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Many of the tracks have proven to have great replay value from $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, and in the era of streaming, that will serve the album well with regard to estimated sales.

Concerning streams, Drizzy’s 2017 ‘Fake Love’, from his More Life album, has surpassed one billion streams on Spotify. The fantastic feat extends Drake’s lead as the artist with the most songs to exceed one billion streams, with this being his 23rd.

It has officially been one year since the beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake began with Future and Metro Boomin’s ‘Like That’ release. The track was the first domino to fall and led to what many see as the elimination of Drake. However, ‘NOKIA’ says different.
