Dr Dre says he would "absolutely" love to collaborate with Dolly Parton

Dr Dre is known for collaborating with a vast array of artists. From Snoop Dogg to Mary J Blige, the producer has produced several genres during his 30-year career. However, during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the beatmaker unveiled he would love to work with one country artist in particular.

The latest interview with Dr. Dre (real name Andre Young) was his first late-night television appearance in over two decades. However, after the news that he will be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, all eyes are on the famed producer.

The legend’s discussion with Jimmy Kimmel was extensive, and the pair spoke about a range of subjects. During the interview, Dre admitted that some fans still shock him to this day.

Speaking about surprises, Young revealed that he was once in the lobby of a hotel and was approached by a group of nuns who said they loved his music. This was one of his more unusual stories.

Concerning unusual stories about his music and people outside of hip-hop and R’n’B who have shown an appreciation for his music, Dr Dre unveiled that he has had requests to make other kinds of music.

When asked by Kimmel, “Do artists from other genres often approach you and ask you to work with them?” Dre swiftly replied, “Yes all the time! But my love is for hip-hop. It really depends on the relationship.”

Asking a hypothetical question, Kimmel queried, “What if Dolly Parton wanted to record an album [with you]?” However, Young’s response was shocking, as he exclaimed, “I love Dolly Parton! ‘Jolene’ is one of my favourite songs! Absolutely, I would do that.”

Dr Dre has worked with an unfathomable amount of artists, including the likes of Warren G, Eminem, Xzibit, Kendrick Lamar Erykah Badu and more. You can watch his Jimmy Kimmel Live interview below.
