Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs described as looking “thinner and greyer”
Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs has now spent months behind bars following his arrest in September, where he was charged with sex trafficking and racketeering. The Bad Boy founder is currently jailed at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center after his home was raided by the Department of Homeland Security, and it appears that prison life has taken its toll on him already.
Combs appeared in court before Judge Arun Subramanian on December 18th to discuss several issues surrounding his legal case. No cameras were allowed in the courthouse, but reporter Elizabeth Millner alleged his physical appearance has changed.
“He appeared just astonishingly thinner, which you can expect [from him being] inside a federal detention centre for a couple of months now,” she said on Law & Crime Network this week. “A lot different from the luxury lifestyle that he was living before, but [he] appeared very noticeably thinner and maybe being locked up in detention is starting to weigh on him.” She added that he appeared to look “greyer” than usual.
Combs’ sons, Christian and Justin, also attended the hearing and arrived in a chauffeur-driven car surrounded by security guards. The siblings declined to respond to reporters as armed police escorted them into the building.
US Attorney Emily Johnson told the court that she couldn’t reveal some of the information because there was still an ongoing investigation around Combs. However, she confirmed that the government had no plans to move away from the proposed trial date of May 5th, 2025. “Any additional charges will have little discovery information,” she said.
Combs has reportedly given up on on his request for bail after being denied three times already, with the judge calling him a danger to the community. The 55-year-old is facing over 100 claims of sexual assault allegations, but he has pled not guilty and denies the accusations of wrongdoing
The rapper’s legal team said: “Mr Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors. He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.”
