Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs allegations labelled “tip of the iceberg” by lawyer
The recent lawsuits against Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs allegations are just a small part of a bigger number of people who claim to have been sexually assaulted by the rapper, according to a lawyer representing one of his alleged victims.
Lisa Bloom, who is working with singer Dawn Richard, a former member of Bad Boy groups Diddy – Dirty Money and Danity Kane, has spoken out against Combs, believing there’s much more to come. In a lawsuit filed in September, Richard accused Combs of threatening her life and “subjecting her to years of inhumane working conditions which included groping, assault and false imprisonment.”
During an interview with Sky News, Bloom said, “She alleges that she was groped and grabbed by Sean Combs, that she witnessed him physically assaulting other women, that he restrained her, locked her into cars and other places, falsely imprisoned her, and it was just a really terrifying experience for her.”
Bloom continued, “This is just the tip of the iceberg, what we’re seeing right now. I think we’re going to see a lot more accusers come forward. I have no doubt there are hundreds more people who have these types of allegations of sexual assault, physical violence, threats, sex trafficking against Combs and people associated with him. And that many are too afraid to come forward or that they signed NDAs and think they have no rights.”
Richard was a member of Danity Kane, a girl group that released two albums on Combs’ label: the self-titled Danity Kane and Welcome to the Dollhouse. Diddy – Dirty Money released their only album, Last Train to Paris, in 2010, with singles such as ‘Coming Home’ and ‘Hello Good Morning’ appearing on the project.
Bloom previously claimed that Richard was “absolutely terrified” of Combs and was threatened with more physical violence after she spoke out.
“People used to brag about going to Diddy parties; a lot of people were there. Maybe some of them didn’t know what was happening, but surely many of them did,” Bloom said. “Right now, we are aggressively moving ahead with our cases. I think we might see more criminal charges to come.”
Combs’ lawyer, Erica Wolff, has called Richard’s claims “manufactured” and “false.” He was allegedly “shocked and disappointed” by the allegations and was “confidently standing on truth and looks forward to proving that in court.”
Prosecutors have reportedly focused on Kalenna Harper, the third Diddy—Dirty Money member alongside Combs and Richard. Combs is claimed to have had 128 phone contacts with Harper after Richard filed her lawsuit. Harper’s statement said Richard’s allegations “are not representative of my experiences, and some do not align with my own truth.”
The trial for Combs’ sex trafficking and racketeering case is set to begin on May 5th, 2025. He’s currently detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
