Watch Denzel Curry Perform 'Walkin' on 'Jimmy Fallon'

On last night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, rapper Denzel Curry performed ‘Walkin’ the track from his new album Melt My Eyez See Your Future, which came out this year.

Curry’s new record featured collaborations with Thundercat, T-Pain, Kenny Beats, Rico Nasty, Robert Glasper, Jpegmafia, J.I.D, Slowthai and more.

Curry teamed up with Slowthai on the single ‘Zatoichi’, a drum and bass style track that we awarded a score of 8.2: “Thai takes charge of the chorus, and while he doesn’t deliver any bars, he still adds plentiful bundles of ferocious energy which blends frantically with Curry.” Curry had recently revealed that he is a big fan of D&B, particularly of the iconic Goldie. He brought in Slowthai on the track as his manager thought it would be a fitting tribute to the genre to have a Brit feature.

Meanwhile, T-Pain joined Curry on the track ‘Troubles’, a trippy release, which we gave a 7.9 score: “Curry gradually ramps up the aggression throughout the track, and T-Pain gives everything you’d expect from the veteran who again tinkers masterfully with technology to pollute his vocals which works a treat.”

In other Denzel Curry news, the Florida-born rapper recently revealed he was a big fan of groove-metalheads Pantera growing up. “I loved Pantera”, Curry said. “Pantera was my shit! Super Cowboys From Hell [sic], Reinventing The Steel – their [songs and albums] had some cool ass names as well. That one album, Vulgar Display of Power? Super-tight. And they did some shit for Spongebob which is like, ‘Wow!’”.

You can check out the video of Curry playing on Fallon below. He commented on the album, “This album is made up of everything that I couldn’t give you on TA13OO or Imperial because I was going through depression and anger issues.”
