DDG files temporary restraining order against Halle Bailey
DDG has hit back at his ex-girlfriend Halle Bailey, filing a temporary restraining order against the singer and actress. The rapper requested an emergency hearing to stop her from travelling overseas with their son, Halo, but he was denied.
In a motion filed on June 4th, DDG said Bailey posed an “imminent emotional and psychological risk” to their son, referencing alleged incidents to back up his claims. In one instance, he said she took his gun and ran out of his house.
“In or about August 2023, during a particularly volatile argument, petitioner became enraged and threatened to end her life using my legally owned firearm,” DDG wrote in a declaration alongside his court filing. “Without my consent, she took the weapon and left the house.
The message continued: “This incident was one of several in which petitioner’s actions posed a serious threat to her own safety and the safety of our son by creating an environment of emotional distress and danger within the home.”
DDG also claimed that Halle sent “a series of alarming text messages threatening to kill herself and suggesting that their infant son, Halo, might also be harmed.” Bailey is scheduled to leave for Italy this weekend for several months while shooting a new movie.
The news comes just weeks after Bailey was granted a restraining order against DDG, accusing him of physical, emotional, verbal, and financial abuse. She alleged the physical abuse started in January, claiming DDG slammed her face against a steering wheel and chipped her tooth.
In her complaint, she outlined her upcoming travel plans. “I have family and a nanny who will be travelling with me to care for Halo while I am working,” she wrote.
