Halle Bailey deletes social media after blasting DDG for showing their child

The Little Mermaid actor Halle Bailey has deleted her X and Instagram accounts after a recent spat with her ex-boyfriend and hip-hop star DDG. She recently called out her former partner for showing their baby’s face when she had made a concerted effort to keep their 11-month-old son, Halo, out of sight.

On November 7th, fans quickly realised that not just her X account but her Instagram profile were also gone and it all comes after DDG held up their son for public viewing during a Twitch livestream with Kai Cenat.

Prior to this development, on November 6th, Bailey took to social media to express her frustration with her ex-boyfriend and explained to fans how turbulent her life has been since birth, writing, “Hi everyone. just so you know I am out of town, and I don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight.”

She continued, “I wasn’t told or notified, and I am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people. I am his mother and protector, and saddened that I wasn’t notified, especially when I am out of town.”

The actor, who appeared in the renowned movie The Colour Purple, admitted that she is still suffering from postpartum depression and unveiled that this is making life harder for her as a mother, writing, “As a woman experiencing severe postpartum, there are boundaries that I wish to be respected. Nobody knows what someone is going through until they snap.”

DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., appeared with Halo sitting on his lap during the stream, which had thousands of viewers. During the video Cenat told the rapper, “This is the most calm baby. How y’all got him so chill?” To which the emcee simply responded, “Bro, he was born in Beverly Hills.”

Halle Bailey and DDG first went public with their relationship in 2022, although many had suspected they were dating, and within a year, they had already welcomed their first child. Due to Bailiey’s wishes, the pregnancy was kept private. However, late last year, the ‘Moonwalking In Calabasas’ artist revealed the pair were no longer together.

Via Instagram, he wrote, “After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we’ve shared.” Although they’re looking to co-parent peacefully, at the moment it seems DDG and Bailey are not on the same page, to say the least.
