Chris Brown prevents Rihanna assault from appearing in dog attack trial

Chris Brown has been successful in his attempt to remove the Rihanna assault from his dog bite trial.

The singer’s former housekeeper, Maria Avila, sued him for $90 million over claims she was attacked by a dog called Hades while taking out the rubbish.

According to TMZ, new documents show that she won’t be allowed to bring up his previous arrest for assaulting RiRi after the judge granted his request. Evidence from the 2019 assault won’t be allowed to be presented to the jury in the upcoming trial.

Avila filed a lawsuit against Brown, citing intentional infliction of emotional distress and seeking punitive damages.

She alleged that on December 12th, 2020, she was viciously attacked by a large dog who ripped chunks of flesh and bone out of her face and arm.

After allegedly “screaming in terror and calling out for help,” Avila claims Brown came outside and stood over her before he “fled the scene as [she] lay on the driveway in a pool of blood, bleeding to death.”

She claims she needed emergency surgery, leaving her with extensive disfigurement, nerve damage, and loss of vision.

During his testimony, Brown said he saw her face down on the ground. “Hearing the actual growl is what actually shocked me, to make me go downstairs,” he said.

She continued, “I didn’t touch her. I bent down, and I looked. I was making sure she was breathing, and then from there, I ran and put the dogs away and yelled and told the security guard to come over. I could see her chest moving.”

When asked if he spoke to Avila, he replied, “No, because she was out. It was no communication. I got security to make sure she was OK.”
