Chris Brown fires security guard over shooting at Los Angeles home

Chris Brown has fired his security guard following a shooting at his home last week.

A man was arrested following an incident outside his home in Tarzana, Los Angeles, on May 1st, following a confrontation with a woman.

According to TMZ, the man has been identified as a member of Brown’s security team, and the singer has since terminated his position.

The man was reportedly taken into custody after firing a CO2-style gun when a woman showed up at the property and was asked to leave.

After refusing, there was allegedly a heated argument that involved the woman returning to her car and driving over his foot.

Brown was reportedly at home at the time but had no involvement in the incident outside the property.

Taking to his Instagram Stories after news of the incident surfaced, he wrote, “AT THIS POINT THIS PATTERN IS OLD. I’m looking at the news like the rest of y’all wondering when and where the hell this happened.”

He continued, “I’ve been in my crib this whole time. Ain’t heard a gunshot, police, car or anything. DON’T ATTACH MY NAME TO NONE OF THIS BULLSHIT. I got shit to do!”

Brown is scheduled to release his 12th studio album, Brown, on May 8th. It’s set to arrive on RCA Records and will include his new single, ‘Fallin’ with Leon Thomas, as well as ‘Obvious’, ‘Holy Blindfold’, and ‘It Depends’ with Bryson Tiller.

Breezy will then go on a joint tour with Usher later this year. The duo will embark on The R&B Tour on June 26th, performing in Detroit, Toronto, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston, Atlanta, Miami, and many other cities.
