Cardi B names Kanye West and Lil Durk as 'Hot Shit' collaborators

Following confirmation of her latest single, ‘Hot Shit’, Grammy-nominated rapper Cardi B has announced that both Kanye West and Lil Durk will be joining her on the track.

Cardi B broke the news by sharing the single’s cover art, which features the rapper sitting in the back seat of a vintage car wearing a black metallic bikini, a pair of chiselled heels, sunglasses, and nothing else. The names of all three artists are printed at the base of the photo.

‘Hot Shit’ marks Cardi B’s first release since 2021’s ‘Up’, which bagged the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for a week in March. The single came after the release of ‘WAP’, her infamous Megan Thee Stallion collaboration. ‘WAP’ spent no less than four weeks at the top of the Hot 100 in 2020.

Kanye teased that he’d finished a verse for Cardi back in January, though he was careful not to reveal too much. During an interview with Hollywood Unlocked, Ye hinted toward working with the ‘I Like It’ rapper: “My cousins was saying ‘Come by here’ yesterday but I was finishing, I was finishing that verse for your girl, you know what I mean. I always believed in her since she was on [Love & Hip-Hop], period.”

Elsewhere, Cardi B recently shared footage of her and Offset’s yacht sinking. The rapper decided to film the event rather than call for assistance, giving fans updates on her social media pages. “I can’t believe I’m actually watching a yacht sink,” she told her followers in a video posted on her Twitter account.

In the clip, the rapper can be heard saying: “It’s sinking! Y’all see that? Oh my God, they can’t do nothing about it. There ain’t no big boat that can save it. It’s gone! Bye-bye.” Responding to the video, one Twitter user wrote: “Please narrate the next season of Planet Earth,” with another adding: “I need to hear Cardi B do commentary for the Hindenburg Disaster.”
