Boosie Badazz sues after paying $600,000 for failed Donald Trump pardon

Boosie Badazz has filed a lawsuit against two Donald Trump lobbyists after failing to receive a presidential pardon.

The Baton Rouge rapper has faced legal troubles for years and was sentenced to time served and three years of supervised release in January after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm.

On July 13th, it was revealed that his lawyers sued Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman and their firm, JM Burkman and Associates, as part of an arbitration case in March.

Speaking of the pair, Boosie told Notus, “They were real aggressive, they were talking like they had Trump on speed dial.”

In response to the lawsuit, Burkman sent an email to Billboard, claiming they had worked hard to secure the pardon and that the rapper’s further alleged legal issues had become an obstacle.

“Boosie has no reason to be unhappy,” he said. “In 30 years of lobbying, I doubt we have ever done more work and harder work. The provision in the contract he is referencing was never agreed to at all.”

He continued, “The other factor is that Boosie’s quest for a pardon was made much tougher by an arrest for an alleged crime of violence in Texas earlier this year. We tried very very hard.”

Despite his claims, a White House official stated that the clemency office had “never heard from Wohl or Burkman.”

Boosie is demanding the return of $300,000, claiming that a provision in his retainer contract required the return of half the payment if the pardon wasn’t secured. Wohl and Burkman want to dismiss the case altogether, alleging that the deal was never signed.

The rapper has publicly requested a Trump pardon in the past, telling the president, “Trump check my case out. My case was dismissed but Biden’s DOJ recharged me with the same gun charge Biden pardon his son of. I was told I am the only person in the country facing that charge now.”
