Boosie Badazz demands pardon from President Donald Trump
Donald Trump returned to the White House as president of the United States earlier this week, and Boosie Badazz is wasting no time asking for help. The Baton Rouge rapper is facing a federal gun case in San Diego, having been re-indicted two weeks after it had been dismissed.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on January 22nd, Boosie requested his case to be thrown out following issues with former president Joe Biden’s Department of Justice.
“Trump check my case out,” he wrote. “My case was dismissed but Biden’s DOJ recharged me with the same gun charge Biden pardon his son of. I was told I am the only person in the country facing that charge now. President Trump, I already was given a 10 year sentence n state n 2009 for 3rd offense marijuana (grams, grams, grams). I never was even offered rehab straight to prison.”
He added, “N trump I’m Boosie I’m a rapper/filmmaker from Baton Rouge. I was targeted. My mouth n things I stand on get me n alot shit but I’m real! My lawyer Meghan Blanco can explain this case. She knew the charges n against you were bad she even spoke about it on radio.”
Boosie was arrested in San Diego in June 2023 while exiting a courtroom after having a separate gun case dismissed by the court. It was revealed that he was being held on multiple gun charges, including felony possession of a firearm and transporting firearms across highways.
According to court documents, Boosie received the indictment due to Instagram Live posts that saw him tucking a gun into his jeans. This isn’t the first time Boosie has gone to Trump for help – after his presidency was confirmed in November, Boosie asked to be pardoned.
“@realdonaldtrump can u pardon me on my fed case?” he said. “I’m a non violent felon. The courts ruled that a non violent cannot be charged with a 922g. The judge dismissed my case but the ruling has been appealed. So once again I was indicted I’m fighting this case. This is the exact case to US vs Duarte that was ruled unconstitutional.
“Oh one more thing can u sit down with me n talk about u giving police immunity. I think this will motivate officers to commit deadly crimes. ‘Please don’t do this’ anyway congratulations on your win let’s get this money n drop these taxes. Shit killing me.”
