Boosie Badazz claims he will fight anybody for $20 million

After watching YouTuber Jake Paul defeat former heavyweight champion of the world Mike Tyson this weekend, Louisiana rapper Boosie Badazz has rushed to Tyson’s defence. In a social media post following Paul’s win by unanimous decision, the For My Thugz rapper claimed that he would be willing to fight anybody for $20million, the figure reportedly earned by Tyson for the Jake Paul boxing match.

The bout was already controversial before it even began, with many in the boxing world viewing the Paul vs Tyson matchup as little more than a novelty. Many more accused the match of being a cash-grab spectacle rather than a serious boxing match, a consistent theme throughout much of Jake Paul’s boxing career. When it came down to the fight on Friday, Tyson looked unfit and failed to land many substantial blows on Paul, who is 31 years his junior.

In fairness to the former boxer, though, it was his first professional match since 2005 and it is worth reiterating that Tyson is 58-years-old, so the outcome of the match was not all that surprising. Nevertheless, Boosie seemed fairly heartbroken by the result, taking to social media to voice his continued support for Mike Tyson, in spite of the defeat.

“They done fucked over my role model last night,” he said in a video posted to Instagram. “My children making fun of me. Everybody talking shit.” The rapper, who rose to prominence during the early 2000s, when Tyson’s career was already in its twilight years, has not changed his view of the legendary boxer, however.

“That man’s 58 years old and went and got 20 M’s,” he said, “58 years old and went and got 20 M’s. I’m proud of him. Give me $20 million right now. Anybody give me $20 million right now. I’m jumping in the ring with Gervonta.”

Gervonta Davis is the current lightweight champion of the world, boasting a flawless 30-0 professional record, 28 of those wins coming from knock-outs. While it is near-enough unimaginable that the 42-year-old Boosie would ever actually step into a ring with the professional boxer, the video on social media was enough to get fans to push for the match-up.

Unsurprisingly, Tyson has not responded to Boosie’s support of him. Following his loss on Friday night in Texas, the former boxer wrote on X, “This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time.”
