Boosie Badazz doubles down on controversial track

Boosie Badazz is gearing up to release his new album, Russia. As part of the album rollout, he has released a brand new song called ‘Letter to the LGBT’, which contains some highly controversial lyrics. During an interview with Vlad from Vlad TV, Badazz spoke about why he went ahead with the song, well aware that it would be controversial.

Some of the lines that have caught heat include the opening bars, which say, “I told him don’t cut his dick off (You heard what Boosie said? He crazy) / Now the whole world pissed off (Whole world mad at me, ayo, steery, cut up).” Another line pertains to sport, where Badazz says, “I told that gender get up out the pool / Them girls been training they whole life, they ain’t train just to lose to you.”

When confronted, Badazz doubled down on his stance within the song. While this might seem outlandish, it shouldn’t come as a surprise, given Badazz’s past vocalizations about his attitude towards this subject. He puts his opinions into his music to reach more people and make his voice louder.

Badazz didn’t only reaffirm his stance on aspects of the LGBT+ community; he also said that other rappers were guilty of exploiting them. He said that by painting their nails and wearing certain clothes, they were taking advantage of the community in a bid to make more money. Boosie confirmed that he doesn’t feel like these rappers actually care about the LGBT+ community and instead only pretend to care in a bid to gain more popularity.

“All these artists are chasing the LGBT narrative to stay successful and get money,” he said, “They using ‘em. They don’t feel they pain, they never been really called that, they never feel they pain and had to deal with that inside. They doing it for they cheques. They doing it for the cheques.”

While some artists might pretend to care more than they do for the sake of reputation management, it’s unlikely that they wholeheartedly share Badazz’s views, as he takes an extremist approach towards how people in the LGBT+ community should be treated in the future, encouraging introducing a revamped version of segregation. He touches upon the potential problems with transgender people playing sports with cis-gendered people but also goes as far as to suggest that they should receive a separate education.

“The transgenders should have they own school, they should have they own bathroom, they should have they own sports league, where’s the mother fucker with the billions who gon get um they own sports league?… Because they understand each other, you know, you got a girl who been training her whole life, since she was four years old, swimming, and you run your big shoulder ass in there and break every damn record.”
