Bobby Shmurda sheds light on the delay for new music

Bobby Shmurda has opened up about why fans may have to wait a while longer before he is ready to serve up new music.

In February, Shmurda was released from prison after serving almost five years behind bars after being put away in 2016. Understandably, the rapper has been making up for lost time since his release, and music has taken a backseat as he enjoys the sanctities of life.

After his release, Shmurda said in an interview, “We got all types of different music coming out. We got the Shmurda shit coming out. We got the ‘Shmigos’ shit coming out. It’s going to be a lit summer.”

Although his collaboration with Migos is yet to surface, Shmurda debuted two new tracks during his short five-song set at Rolling Loud festival in Miami last month.

However, there has been no official new music since his release, and he has explained why on his Instagram. In a series of photos that capture Shmurda next to a grey McLaren, he wrote, “I’m Bizzy running round needed some time to breathe they had me locked up In the pins doing 23.”

His set at Rolling Loud shows that he has been making new music, but at the moment, he’s not in a hurry to release what he’s been working on. The longer we are forced to wait, the sweeter it will be when new music from Shmurda finally arrives.
