Blueface released from prison after 21 months behind bars
Blueface has been released from prison. The Los Angeles rapper confirmed his freedom on social media on November 3rd.
The 28-year-old turned himself in to authorities in January 2024 for violating his probation related to the 2021 assault of a nightclub security guard. He was sentenced to four years in prison but only served 21 months.
In a video posted to his Instagram Stories this week, he said, “Still that n*gga, two years later. On the dead homies.”
Blueface also shared a video of himself being let out of a vehicle and reuniting with his family after their time apart.
His mother, Karlissa Saffold Harvey, had been teasing his release for a while, claiming he could be released before his December parole eligibility date.
“Well, today I got a call and I can’t tell you exactly cause he’s like, ‘Don’t be telling my exact date,’” she said last month. “I have the coming home party. Make sure you guys get your tickets for the celebrity Blueface coming home party. I’m going to be picking him up with his kids. His girlfriend got us a limo so you know I’m excited. I’m excited for new beginnings.”
Blueface opened up about his life behind bars at Lancaster State Prison in August 2024, revealing he had been relaxing while also putting in work in the gym.
“I be jacking off, watching TV, eating Doritos and using the phone,” he told Effective Immediately. “That’s pretty much it. They only got like 12 channels. I’ve been watching a lot of the news, the Sherri show and The Jennifer Hudson Show.”
He added, “I’m chilling, man. I’m in my environment. It’s like a little break from responsibility. I’m like 180 [pounds] right now; I’ve never been 180 before. I’m getting sized up, I’m about to bounce out looking like a dalmation.”
