Blueface received probation for July's Las Vegas shooting

‘Thotiana’ emcee and Famous Cryp artist, Blueface, has recently been sentenced to three years of probation following a guilty plea to charges of battery and discharging a firearm after being initially charged with attempted murder.

The emcee (real name Jonathan Porter) pleaded guilty in July following his charges. However, his attorney, Kristina M. Wildeveld, recently made a statement concerning his probation, reading, “He has the ability to earn a reduction to a gross misdemeanour charge upon successful completion of his probation.”

She continued, “He is ultimately just looking forward to getting back to focusing on his music career and moving forward with his life.” The musician has not made an impact with his material since 2019 when he released the viral sensation ‘Thotiana’ that received two remixes, one featuring Cardi B and another alongside YG.

Last year, Porter was arrested following the shooting of Kentavious Traylor at a Las Vegas strip club. The lyricist was charged with attempted murder. However, following a guilty plea, the charge was reduced to battery.

Blueface has faced many legal issues lately. The emcee is currently facing jail time in Clark County, Nevada, after he stole a mobile phone used by a fan who tried to film Blueface’s on-again/off-again girlfriend, Chrisean Rock. The felony case will be taken to trial on Wednesday, October 4th.

The probation verdict was delivered by Clark County District Court Judge Kathleen E. Delaney with specific conditions. The rhymer is prohibited from possessing any weapons or using alcohol or drugs. Any breach of these conditions will see the artist back behind bars.

Porter is also not allowed to roam the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown Las Vegas if he has work obligations in the area. The artist has also been forbidden from contacting the victim, who has been identified as Kentavius Traylor.
