BIA shares new Cardi B diss track with fans
2024 has seen a lot of rap feuds so far. The most notable has been the lyrical battle between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. However, a new feud may be brewing. Massachusetts female emcee BIA has recently released a diss track aimed at none other than her female counterpart, Cardi B.
Entitled ‘SUE MEEE?’, the track’s name references a threat Cardi B (real name Belcalis Almanzar) made towards BIA after the latter spread rumours that she cheated on her husband, former Migos member Offset.
Although this feud may not be as explosive as the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef, the instrumental of BIA’s ‘SUE MEEE?’ sounds a lot like the beat of Metro Boomin’s and Future’s ‘Like That‘.
With tongue-twisting lyrics, complex rhyme schemes and smooth delivery, BIA’s Cardi B diss track could see the start of a lyrical battle between two admired female MCs. This diss track is the second of the year from a female artist, as earlier this year, Nicki Minaj released ‘Big Foot’, a diss aimed at Megan Thee Stallion.
Fans are already going crazy for ‘SUE MEEE?’ and are, strangely, looking forward to seeing if Almanzar takes it upon herself to respond to the For Certain lyricist. This would be Cardi’s second beef following her 2018 feud with Nicki Minaj.
The bars of the diss track from BIA contains some pretty vicious lyrics. However, there has been a fair amount of clowning and mocking due to their differences in status and popularity, as Cardi B is far more renowned.
Many see the potential battle as a David and Goliath scenario where BIA could defeat the multi-platinum-selling Almanzar. BIA is lesser-known and most definitely not as popular as Cardi B.
Some quotable lyrics include, “Thought your a** was for the culture, you’re just trying to ride the wave / You should be home with your kids, ’cause bitch, you speak like second grade” and “Now these bitches getting brave, heard this h*e do brujería, wrote this sh*t after I prayed / Someone go and call up Pardi ’cause we gon’ bake her a cake.”
