Benzino hospitalised amid claims he was run over by ex’s friend
Benzino was reportedly hospitalised this week, with the rapper claiming he was struck by his ex’s friend’s car.
Blogger Tasha K announced that the rapper and media personality was taken to the hospital in Atlanta this week.
While sharing a photo of Benzino in a hospital bed wearing a neck brace, she claimed that he was hit by Diamond, a friend of the mother of his child, Althea Heart.
“Benzino just called me from Grady Hospital in Atlanta wearing a neck brace and in extreme pain,” she wrote. “He alleges that he caught Althea attempting to remove their son from school despite him being the sole custodial parent.”
She added, “He says he chased them to the car, and during the chaos, Diamond from Love and Hip Hop allegedly struck him with her new vehicle. This is an active and developing situation. Prayers up for Zino.”
Diamond and Althea appeared on a live stream to share their side of the story, denying Benzino’s claims.
“First of all, Benzino, if I would have hit you with my car, a bitch would be in jail right now,” Diamond said. “Nobody hit you with a motherfucking car.”
She continued, “All I know is my car is already in drive, and you’re trying to put your hand inside of the window to where my baby is. So, a bitch drove the fuck off.”
As for Althea, she said, “I have primary custody, but he wants to keep him away from his mother because he doesn’t want to go to jail for not paying child support.”
Benzino and Althea’s 10-year old son, Zino Scott, was born in November 2015. He has four children, including rapper Coi Leray.
