I have a deep devotion for the UK music scene and U.S hip-hop. My interests include discovering underground artists, focusing on their personal, political and lyrical meanings, genre-pushing and stylistic choices which make them unique, refreshing and empathetic. With a keen interest in storytelling and discovering the roots of their work both stylistically and lyrically, the concepts of identity and heritage drive my music journalism work. My work aims to dissect the artistry and appeal to long-term fans, casual and new listeners, making it accessible to wider audiences and pushing the undisputed talent within the genres of US and UK popular culture.
