
Anderson Paak’s estranged wife demands spousal support
The estranged wife of Anderson Paak has demanded spousal support amid rumours of the artist dating Jeannie Mai.
Paak filed for divorce from Jae Lin Chang in January 2024 after 13 years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
According to TMZ, Lin is requesting primary custody of their two children, along with spousal support.
Legal documents filed in Los Angeles state that Lin wants to share legal custody of their two children, aged nine and 13. However, she wants primary physical custody.
On the other hand, she’s asking for Paak to have secondary physical custody and visitation. Lin is requesting spousal support and wants to stop the court’s ability to award support to Paak.
Paak and Lin got married in November 2010, shortly before the birth of their first child. Lin wrote “TBD” in the court documents for the date they separated
When he initially filed for divorce, Paak wanted joint legal and physical custody of their kids, including a visitation schedule for both of them.
Paak and Lin met at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood when he was a teaching assistant. He was a drummer in the gospel vocal class, which Lin was taking.
The news comes shortly after rumours surfaced about Paak dating television personality Jeannie Mae. Previously, since separating from his wife, he was rumoured to be dating Mariah Carey, having been spotted together in public on several occasions.
Paak, who has over 24 million monthly Spotify listeners, hasn’t released a solo album since 2019’s Ventura. However, he’s since released An Evening with Silk Sonic, his collaborative album with Bruno Mars, in 2021, as well as Why Lawd? with Knxwledge as NxWorries in 2024.
