Kanye West has been extremely active on social media recently. Not only has he taken fire at GAP, Balenciaga Pete Davidson and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian but now he is unleashing his wrath on Adidas as he proclaims, the company “Don’t want no more smoke”.
Only days after super-producer Swizz Beatz called for an Adidas boycott, Kanye West has claimed victory in a long battle with Adidas, with whom West worked on his ‘Yeezy’ trainers.
Dubbing his relationship with the company as a “war”, West posted, “I COULD HEAR THE JOY IN MY TEAMS VOICES TODAY,”…“ADIDAS DON’T WANT NO MORE SMOKE. THE MOVIE CREDITS ARE ROLLING. THIS WAR WASN’T ABOUT MONEY.”
Acknowledging his tumultuous relationship with Adidas, he then threatened GAP as he posted, “IT WAS ABOUT CONTROL OF OUR FAMILIES. OF OUR BUSINESSES. OF OUR STORY. OF OUR VOICE. I GAVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO SETTLE THIS QUIETLY. NOW IT’S TIME FOR GAP :)”
West is threatening GAP following his recent dispute with the company over designs and shady business. Taking to Instagram to accuse them of stealing his designs, West posted a photo of fluorescent, iridescent Yeezy reflective sunglasses with the caption, “GAP held a meeting about me without me?”
Ye’s legal team have suggested he not interact with GAP any longer as there could perhaps be legal grounds for harassment. While Ye’s problems with Adidas seem to have ended, it looks like he’ll continue taking on the Gap in the near future, regardless of the advice given. Yet another outburst from West, hip hop is highly desensitised to his antics, and this rant will not come as a surprise to many.
