6ix9ine released from Brooklyn prison after three-month sentence

6ix9ine has been released from prison after being sentenced to three months behind bars.

The Brooklyn rapper was freed from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on April 3rd.

He was sentenced for violating the conditions of his supervised release from his 2019 racketeering conviction.

The 29-year-old took to Instagram to celebrate his release, sharing a video of him walking out of the prison gates while holding his papers.

6ix9ine showed off a SpongeBob toy that was signed by Nicolás Maduro on April 2nd. The Venezuelan politician was captured by US forces in January and charged with drug trafficking.

Not only that, but Miami jeweller Vobara also gifted him with a 400-carat chain, boasting diamond and sapphire pendants inspired by his tattoos. With a 186-carat lion centrepiece, the chain is worth over $200 million.

“Fresh OUT THE FEDS $2,200,000 on the neck,” he wrote in the caption. “GOD IS THE GREATEST. MY LORD AND SAVIOR. @vobara we did ittttttt MADURO SINGNED MY JAIL HOUSE SPONGE9INE.”

Before he served his latest sentence, 6ix9ine was involved in incidents such as drug possession and an assault case in South Florida.

The rapper surrendered to authorities on January 6th, telling his followers, “Thank you guys so much see you in 3 months.” He must now serve 12 months of supervised release, attending a mental health treatment programme for anger management and an outpatient drug treatment programme.

Shortly before that, he assured fans, “I am not suicidal. I do not want to kill myself. ’m literally going in there for 90 days. I didn’t hang myself. Clip this. I did not hang myself. Nothing. I’m not suicidal. I’m nothing. And I’m going to be very cautious.”
