6ix9ine’s prison mugshot surfaces after starting prison sentence
6ix9ine turned himself in to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn this week, and his prison mugshot has since surfaced online.
The Brooklyn rapper began his three-month sentence on January 6th after being convicted for violating the terms of his probation.
Just a day later, his latest mugshot surfaced online, showing the rapper’s face tattoos and long black hair up close.
The controversial rapper surrendered himself on a live stream with Adin Ross. The stream lasted for nearly two hours and saw content creator Stephen Deleonardis cutting off his ankle monitor.
6ix9ine travelled to the prison in a limo and could be seen singing Justin Bieber’s ‘Baby’ and Lil Tjay’s ‘Hold On’ on his way to the facility.
In his final Instagram post before starting his sentence, he wrote, “Thank you guys so much see you in 3 months.”
Shortly before going to prison, he made sure to tell people that he wasn’t suicidal in case anything happens to him before bars.
“I am not suicidal. I do not want to kill myself,” he told his fans. “I’m literally going in there for 90 days. I didn’t hang myself. Clip this. I did not hang myself. Nothing. I’m not suicidal. I’m nothing. And I’m going to be very cautious.”
6ix9ine violated his probation by punching a man at a shopping centre, as well as cocaine and ecstasy being found in his home. The judge told him, “From time to time your actions suggest that you believe that ordinary rules don’t apply to you.”
Following his release from prison in a few months, he must attend a mental health treatment programme for anger management and an outpatient drug treatment program.
