50 Cent has aimed at his longtime rival, Floyd Mayweather, as he promotes his fiction novel The Accomplice. The two have had a friendly rivalry for over a decade, and the emcee (real name Curtis Jackson) has now chosen to reignite the feud.
While promoting the book on Instagram, Jackson posted a picture of the novel’s cover, writing, “I have no beef with anyone. I even made sure the audiobook comes out at the same time so champ won’t feel left out. [shrug emoji] GLG [traffc light emoji].”
50 Cent has previously made fun of Mayweather by repeatedly claiming that the former boxing champion is illiterate. He has yet to prove this. However, it has prompted many fans to laugh at Mayweather over the years.
The G-unit mogul also let fans know he plans on releasing a movie linked to the book, writing, “GreenLightGang [film emoji] The accomplice Movie coming soon!” Fifty the tagged his alcohol brands Branson Cognac and Le Chemin du Roi.
This mockery follows an interview the boxer recently gave, during which he spoke about Diddy, the various lawsuits he faces and the numerous allegations of sexual assault he is now fighting.
During his appearance on The Pivot Podcast, Mayweather stated, “I’m not gonna speak bad about P. Diddy ’cause he still a Black man. Mistakes happen. And I can’t say if it is or not a mistake, but things happen in life. And P. Diddy’s business is P. Diddy’s business. It’s not my job or anybody else’s job to go on the internet and stomp him and kick a man while he’s down.”
Despite the outrage in the industry currently, Mayweather insisted he is indifferent to the situation, claiming, “My take on it is: it’s not my business. I don’t think it’s right at all, and I don’t condone it. Even if that happened to my daughter, I would be hurt, but that’s a choice that my daughter made.”
In an Instagram post uploaded shortly after the interview, Jackson re-posted a video of Mayweather’s comments with the caption, “[palm on face emoji] they didn’t even ask him about this, champ is you stupid or is you dumb? Get me the fuck out ya head, you sound like a hater. DIDDY DO IT? COMING soon.”
