50 Cent claims Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sent him flowers as a warning over Netflix series
50 Cent has alleged that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs threatened him with flowers following the release of his new Netflix series.
Sean Combs: The Reckoning, executive produced by 50, was released on December 2nd as an “examination of the media mogul, music legend, and convicted offender.”
The G-Unit rapper took to Instagram on December 5th to post a photo of some flowers, claiming they were sent from Combs.
He alleged that the bouquet was sent to the E11even nightclub in Miami, showing a label addressed to “Fifty Cent.”
In the caption, 50 wrote, “What kinda gay shit is this Diddy send me flowers at club 11 LOL why all the four play get busy, you know I’m stupid.” Then, in the comments, he added, “A warning, I’m 90’s grimy. you don’t warn me. LOL.”
Combs is currently serving 50 months in prison at FCI Fort Dix. He was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
His legal team have condemned the documentary, revealing they were “deeply concerned” about the series using alleged unauthorised footage.
Describing it as a “shameful hit piece,” his spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, said, “As Netflix and CEO Ted Sarandos know, Mr Combs has been amassing footage since he was 19 to tell his own story, in his own way. It is fundamentally unfair, and illegal, for Netflix to misappropriate that work.”
50 has claimed that his involvement in the series is nothing personal, telling GQ, “If someone’s not saying something, then you would assume everybody in hip-hop is OK with what’s going on.”
