50 Cent trolls Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in new DoorDash commercial
50 Cent has trolled Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in a new Super Bowl advert for DoorDash.
Super Bowl LX will take place this weekend between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots.
Ahead of the big event, 50 teamed up with food delivery company DoorDash for a commercial about beef.
50, who has famously feuded with Combs over the years, took the opportunity to make digs at the incarcerated rapper throughout the ad.
“It’s come to my attention that everyone’s calling me troll,” he says in the clip. “Some said even the king of trolls. First of all, I’m flattered, but I’m done with all that.”
He continues, “I would never do a deal with DoorDash. They quite literally deliver beef when millions of people are watching. I mean, who would do something like that?”
50 then picks out a few items from his bag that heavily hint at the Bad Boy boss. “Don’t want to be too obvious,” he says after picking up a packet of cheese puffs. Picking up the final item, he says, “They sell combs, what a coincidence.”
Following the release of the commercial, 50 released a statement about the collaboration. “I’ve always been about keeping it real, so when DoorDash approached me about a social campaign around beef, it felt authentic from the start,” he said. “They’ve got everything you need, and just like with beef, the receipts speak for themselves.”
DoorDash vice president, Gina Igwe, added, “DoorDash already has everything consumers need for the Big Game, and now we’re talking a big game with the help of cultural icon and beef expert, 50 Cent. No matter how fans show up this year, DoorDash has the beef.“
50 recently executive-produced Sean Combs: The Reckoning, a Netflix documentary about the sexual misconduct allegations against Combs. It was released in December and has over 50 million views.
