50 Cent’s Netflix series about Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs earns three Emmy nominations

The 50 Cent docuseries about Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has scored three nominations at the Emmy Awards.

The 2026 Emmy nominations were announced on July 8th, with Sean Combs: The Reckoning picking up nods for ‘Outstanding Documentary Series’, ‘Outstanding Directing’ for Alexandria Stapleton, and ‘Outstanding Picture Editing’.

50 took to social media to react to the news, writing on Instagram, “Still think I’m taking a L. ok what ever you say ! LOL.”

Sean Combs: The Reckoning was released on Netflix on December 2nd, 2025. It features appearances from Lil ‘Cease, Kalenna Harper, Erick Sermon, and many others.

The four-part docuseries was executive produced by 50 and was said to “unpack the shocking allegations behind Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and his Bad Boy empire, spanning decades of his life and career.”

It was described as “a staggering examination of the media mogul, music legend, and convicted offender.”

The series was released just months after Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison after being found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He’s currently behind bars at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey and is scheduled to be released in February 2028.

At the end of January, it was announced that Sean Combs: The Reckoning had reached 50 million views.

A synopsis read, “Through explosive, never-before-seen materials, including exclusive interviews with those formerly in his orbit, this documentary tells the story of a powerful, enterprising man and the gilded empire he built – and the underworld that lay just beneath its surface.”
