50 Cent responds to assault lawsuit

50 Cent has been hit with an assault lawsuit by a photographer named Guadalupe De Los Santos. The suit was filed against the G-Unit rapper (real name Curtis Jackson) in Los Angeles Superior Court on January 27th.

De Los Santos claims he was knocked off his scooter by one of 50’s affiliates when he pulled up next to their car after a book signing at The Grove in LA on September 11th, 2024. He alleges that the car’s front passenger opened his door at a red light and smacked into his left side, knocking him to the floor and damaging the scooter.

According to TMZ, the man says he’s facing medical bills as a result of his injuries, which have caused him to miss work and lose earnings. He claims the rapper ordered someone in the car to hit him with the door and is suing for damages.

An attorney for 50 Cent responded to the allegations with a statement. “Mr. Jackson has neither been served with or seen a filed copy of a lawsuit filed by Ms. Allred’s firm,” the statement read. “However, if and when such a frivolous claim is filed and served, rest assured that Mr. Jackson’s legal team will swiftly move to dismiss the matter and seek the maximum costs, fees, sanctions and other remedies that are available under law.”

The statement continued, “Based upon the leaked reports presumably by Ms. Allred, Mr. Jackson is not alleged to be the driver of the vehicle or even the individual who the Plaintiff paparazzi alleges opened the door as he charged a vehicle as it drove away from the bookstore.”

50 Cent also took to Instagram to post an old photo of himself with the accuser’s lawyer, Gloria Allred. “The moment I realized I don’t like lawyers,” he wrote in the caption. “Gloria you should know better, chase a different ambulance.” In another post, he added, “Gloria you’re not gonna get any money from me that way, but if you call me I’ll take you to dinner. LOL.”

His book, The Accomplice: A Novel, was released on September 3rd, 2024 and described as “a page-turning suspense novel with a strong female lead and a dangerous criminal enterprise.”
