21 Savage announces new album ‘What Happened to the Streets?’

21 Savage has announced that he’ll be returning with a new album titled What Happened to the Streets? this month.

His fourth solo album is set to be released on December 12th via his Slaughter Gang label under Epic Records.

The project was confirmed on December 8th with a pre-save link, revealing the cover art and a hidden tracklist that contains 15 songs.

Savage also took to Instagram to share a trailer for the album, which features black-and-white footage filled with flames and firearms.

The Atlanta rapper previously spoke about his new album in December 2024, giving fans high expectations in terms of the quality of the music.

“I’m going to drop very, very soon though,” he told Complex. “I think it’s going to impact. I always put a lot of effort into my albums, so you can expect the best of the best. Not no microwave shit. It’s going to be a solid, good ass album. We’re very close.”

He continued, “I don’t really compare albums because it’s not like food. It’s going to be a great album like how I thought those were great albums. Especially I Am > I Was, I feel like that’s my best solo album so far.”

Savage released his last solo album, American Dream, in January 2024. The project debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 133,000 units in its first week.

The project included guest spots from Doja Cat, Young Thug, Metro Boomin, Lil Durk, Travis Scott, Summer Walker, and many others. Its biggest single, ‘Redrum’, reached number five on the Hot 100.

He previously topped the charts in 2022 with Her Loss, his collaborative album with Drake.
