It’s always exciting when two of hip hop’s biggest stars get together. Usually, such an inter-change of star power is reserved for a single song, a guest spot for one icon to impact the track of another. However, Drake and 21 Savage, arguably the two biggest names in the genre right now, have gone one step further and announced a whole album.
The announcement of the new collaborative album, titled Her Loss came complete with a music video for the latest single ‘Jimmy Cooks’ from the Drake record Honestly, Nevermind, which features the pair performing in a warehouse space in front of a series of projected images.
The release date was also announced during the clip, confirming that the collaborative album Her Loss will arrive on October 28th, and it has got fans extremely excited. Of course, it isn’t the first time that the two stars have linked up for a song.
21 Savage appeared on Drake’s 2021 track ‘Knife Talk’ from his LP Certified lover Boy and the Toronto rapper repaid the favour with an appearance on Savage and Metro Boomin’s ‘Mr Right Now’ from the Savage Mode II release.
Of course, the duo have been extremely busy in recent months, and while Drake looks ready to continue to put out albums with a ferocious appetite — two in the last two years — this one may land a heavier punch.
