Young Thug requesting return of money, cars and jewellery from YSL raid

Young Thug wants various items seized during his arrest in May 2022 returned. His lawyers are seeking the return of money, cars and jewellery taken as part of the YSL RICO case.

The items include $149,426 in cash, a 2022 Chevrolet Corvette, a 2022 Porsche 911, a 2021 Dodge Durango, a 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS Maybach, a 2015 Can-Am Spyder, expensive jewellery and firearms.

WSB-TV reports that a civil hearing was set to occur on February 21st but was cancelled, according to the judge’s staff.

Young Thug was released from prison in October after accepting a deal. He pleaded no contest to several charges and was sentenced to time served and 15 years of probation.

The Atlanta rapper delivered a heartfelt speech before walking out of the trial, noting how rap lyrics can be “twisted” and their impact on people.

“I take full responsibility for my crimes or charges,” he said. “I want to say sorry to my family, my mum, my managers, my kids, and everyone involved. I am a smart guy with a good heart, but I found myself in trouble because I was too nice or cool.”

He continued: “I hope you allow me to go home today and trust me to do the right thing. I promise I won’t be in this situation again. I’ve learned from my mistakes. I come from nothing and made something, but I didn’t take full advantage of it. I’m sorry for the extra time everyone had to put in.”

Thug continued, “I know what I bring to the table and the impact I have on people. I’ve learned a lot in the past two or three years, and I understand what I mean to this world. I am a good guy and have done a lot for my community.”

His father, Jeffery Williams Sr., spoke about his son’s situation in December, stating he “did what he felt like he wanted to do” in his decision to take a plea deal. “He’s doing great, honestly,” he said. “We still fighting. It’s not over for us.”

He added, “[The Fulton County D.A. office is] a piece of shit. You know we gotta get those people out of there. If we wanna continue to have justice, we gotta get ‘em out of there, alright?”
