Young Thug fires at investigator from his RICO case on social media

Young Thug was released from prison several months ago and is already back making music. However, his nearly two-year-old RICO case is still on his mind, and a new development has emerged.

The Atlanta emcee recently took to social media to tell his followers what he thinks of Marissa Viverito, the lead investigator on his RICO case. According to Thugger, Viverito is a “liar”, and he insisted that throughout his case, she proved herself to be the “biggest liar in the DA office.”

As the lead investigator into the Atlanta emcee and numerous other YSL members, including Shannon Stillwell and Deamonte Kendrick, Vivertto was tasked with gathering evidence and handing it to the prosecution to make sure the Jeffrey creator went to prison.

It’s still relatively unclear why Young Thug has chosen to blast Viverito now, considering the case ended in October. However, many of Young Thug’s fans shared his resentment, and they, naturally, took his side against the investigator for trying to send their favourite artist down.

One user wrote, “All my homies hate Viverito,” while another added, “Thug want war!!!” another added. However, some did warn him about how risky it may be to criticise the prosecution considering his probation. One user urged the lyricist to be sensible, commenting, “Brother, please chill. I know for damn sure this tweet is explicitly prohibited in Article 6 Section 2.3 of your damn 15-year probation agreement💀💀”

This is not the first time someone involved in the case has been publicly lambasted by someone with skin in the game. In December, Young Thug’s father, Jeffrey Williams Senior, aimed at Fanni Willis and the entire Atlanta court system, writing on X, “I still feel the same way. It’s a piece of sh*t. We gotta get those people out of there. We want to continue to have justice. We gotta get them out of there.”

Fanni Willis is known nationwide for her involvement in the legal challenges Donald Trump faced in Georgia and the revelation that her office violated Georgia’s Open Records Act.

Still, despite his recent outbursts, fans are excited about what’s next for Young Thug as he recently cleared his Instagram page and has been teasing new music. Furthermore, it was recently announced that he will be co-headlining the Summer Smash Festival this year.
