Woman jailed for fake 911 call before Young Scooter’s death

Young Scooter’s death sent shockwaves through Atlanta and left many stunned across the hip-hop community. However, the foggy details surrounding an incident that took place on the night he perished left more questions than answers.

That said, a woman has now been arrested for making a fake 911 call to Atlanta police before his death. It is known that the emcee died as a result of a leg injury he sustained while fleeing the cops. However, the event that triggered the 911 call to be dialled in was not sufficiently detailed for many.

It has now been revealed to the public that law enforcement responded to a call made by 31-year-old Demetria Spence, who may be familiar to some as she appeared on the reality TV show Baddies as Demi Blanco. The call made by Spence was obtained by Atlanta’s FOX 5, and those who have been patiently waiting now know what Spence told the cops that night.

Speaking to the police, Spence alleged that she saw a naked woman being physically assaulted and beaten on the street before being dragged into a house. Speaking to the call handler, she detailed, “He’s beating her bloody. He’s dragged her back into the house.”

The Baddies cast member also alleged that the house was full of armed men to the best of her knowledge. She then suggested that the residents were involved in drugs and sex trafficking. In a snippet from the call, she can be heard saying, “There was literally a shooting… Literally the neighbours next door, the house of the address that I just gave you, the 273.”

She added, “There is literally a whole domestic dispute going on. There’s like seven guys that live in this house.” She concluded by telling the operator about the supposed woman, adding, “She ran outside naked, and then he was fighting her outside,” she also alleged. “She tried to get away. He dragged her back in the house… she’s being held hostage.”

However, none of what she said was true, and the event she had detailed was made up. During an Instagram Live, Spence insisted that she had been abused on multiple occasions by the residents of that house and made the call to “protect herself.” Due to her untrue claims, FOX 5 recently reported that Spence has been arrested and booked for transmitting a false public alarm and is in Fulton County jail.

This arrest comes shortly after Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Young Scooter’s official cause of death, which, counter to online rumour, was not a gunshot wound. The office declared, “Mr. Bailey sustained a penetrating injury of his right thigh that created marked blood loss.”

They added, “This injury was not a gunshot wound. Mr. Bailey injured himself on organic (wooden) fencing material and/or woody debris after vaulting at least one fence.” As such, the rapper’s death was ruled an accident.
