In 2022, Lamar took to the Super Bowl LVI stage alongside Snoop Dogg, Mary J Blige, Eminem, 50 Cent and Dr Dre, where he performed ‘Alright’ from his album To Pimp A Butterfly. So far, the only performer who is set to be a featured guest is R&B vocalist SZA. The two artists are also co-headlining their ‘Grand National’ Tour later this year in April, which will see stops across the United States and Canada. The tour is in support of Lamar’s latest project, GNX. Although some Atlanta rappers may appear as special guests, Kendrick Lamar will likely emphasise his home of Compton, Los Angeles, and the wider West Coast.
Although people are questioning who the DAMN creator will bring out for the Super Bowl, people are also whether or not Lamar will be allowed to perform his hit Drake diss track, ‘Not Like Us’.
Since its release, Lamar has performed the song live many times, most notably at his Pop Out: Ken & Friends concert at Inglewood’s Kia Forum Stadium. However, whether or not he will be allowed to include it in his Super Bowl setlist is an entirely different question.
