Which producer has Drake worked with the most?

Drake has become somewhat of a pariah in the hip-hop scene. After almost a decade of dominance his fall from grace has been something to behold. The rapid decline in respect for the Take Care creator has been astonishing, and he is certainly not helping himself.

Since the release of ‘Not Like Us’, which swept this year’s Grammy Awards, the lyricist has had what many are calling a career crisis. He has been releasing cringe-worthy tracks, filing lawsuits, and engaging in social media antics that have wrecked his brand.

Despite all of the pandemonium that ensued after his Kendrick Lamar feud, people are still streaming a lot of Drake’s music. Furthermore, his loss in a rap beef cannot withdraw his achievements. Although a degree of respect was lost, fans can’t retract the awards, and the history books will keep his name in them.

Drizzy has won five Grammys, 41 Billboard Music Awards, and 17 BET Awards, just to name a few. The list is long, and he has released a lot of music. Although not all of it has been good to be kind, the discography is hefty, and until last year, nobody would have argued that he was the most prominent emcee.

The Drake many see today is not the Drake of 2010, and although he has a small group of people in his inner circle who have always been there, the wider set of musicians who have worked with him has changed from era to era.

When he first emerged in 2009, the Toronto native was a Young Money prodigy, and he had a lot of different people surrounding him. He featured on a lot of tracks produced by Bangladesh and Mannie Fresh. However, that changed when he founded his label October’s Very Own (OVO) in 2012.

This is when the ‘Marvin’s Room’ rhymer began recruiting producers and developing a distinct sound. Moreover, this is when he struck the ‘mainstream-yet-rap’ balance he did so exquistetly. Although it wasn’t all down to one producer, it was definitely crafted by a particular handful of beatmakers.

The majority of 6God’s team are proud Canadians. T-Minus is a Canadian producer who has contributed to many of the emcee’s anthems. The beatmaker is the individual Drakee went to for the simple, catchy, synth-led beats that dominated much of the early 2010s. T-Minus has a minimalist style and was behind the iconic instrumental of ‘The Motto’.

The beatmaker has worked with the rapper on ten songs with Drake as the lead artist and many more with Drake as a featured guest, but was most definitely an individual who featured heavily during Drake’s early years on Thank Me Later, Take Care, and Nothing Was The Same.

However, there is one producer who has been present throughout Drake’s career and is arguably responsible for his entire sound: Noah ’40’ Shebib. The Canadian musician is featured on almost every Drizzy project from his mixtape era until now. The producer who is signed to Drake’s OVO label has known Drake since he came of DeGrassi and that is a long relationship.

Since his second mixtape, Comeback Season, which was released in 2007, Noah ‘40’ Shebib has worked as a producer and co-producer on 125 Drake tracks, making him Drizzy’s most popular beatmaker. There isn’t one album he has not contributed to, and he has worked with Drizzy and many other tracks on which he has featured as a guest.
