When Snoop Dogg told a Norwegian journalist to "shut the fuck up"

Once in a while, emotions take over celebrities and cause them to say and do things the public find shocking. Whether it’s A$AP Rocky fighting with strangers in the streets of Sweden or footage of Solange kicking Jay-Z, every now and then, the façade celebrities are forced to have disappears, and a reactive figure emerges. This is precisely what happened in Oslo when Doggystyle rapper Snoop Dogg told a young journalist to “shut the f*ck up.”

Snoop Dogg is widely considered hip-hop’s lovable West Coast uncle. Often referred to as “Uncle Snoop”, he is known for addressing his younger rap music peers as “nephew.” The Long Beach legend has always been respectful and, unlike some rappers, has always handled his interviews in a respectable and authentic manner.

With some figures such as Birdman and Kanye West, almost every interview descends into an argument. However, that has never been the case with Snoop. However, some of the Doggfather’s behind-the-scenes antics have led many to question how he acts when the cameras aren’t rolling.

In 2006, the rapper and his entourage were involved in a highly physical altercation at London’s Heathrow Airport. The violent fight that broke out in the airport prompted staff to call the police, and the debacle culminated in the artist’s arrest. While it is not uncommon to hear about rappers getting arrested, for Snoop (real name Calvin Broadus), it makes many question if he really is that lovable West Coast uncle.

Broadus has been interviewed an unfathomable amount of times. However, in 2011, while in an Oslo trainer store, the Death Row musician told a young interviewer to “shut the f*ck up.” The ‘Gin And Juice’ rapper had taken to Twitter a few hours prior, talking about issues he was facing at the border.

However, when asked if those issues were part of the reason he was five hours late to the function, he unleashed on the reporter, telling him, “Be happy I’m here and ask some real questions!” He then proceeded to facetiously say, “I was late because I went to go get some chicken wings!” The bizarre interaction actually left many feeling sorry for the young reporter. However, the emcee was obviously tired and most likely was frustrated following issues getting into the country.
