Wendy Williams weighs in on arrest of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs

Wendy Williams has commented on Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs‘ arrest and the string of allegations currently being held against him.

Williams has been openly critical about Combs for decades and has said in a recent interview that it’s “about time” he was held accountable. She commented recently on some of the different charges that have been thrown at Combs, as well as some of the video footage of him with his ex-partners that have been used in sexual assault cases.

“What is really weird is that I have been told by so many people, ‘Wendy you called it’,” she said in new interview with the Daily Mail. “You know how I feel about that? It is about time. To see this video on TV of [Ventura] getting pummelled … it was just horrific […] But now you have to think, ‘How many more times? How many people? How many more women?’ It’s just so horrible.”

Williams and Combs have been on bad terms since the late 1990s. The feud began when she was working at New York’s Hot 97, Combs was in charge of Bad Boy Entertainment. Williams has previously shared the story of how one of his girl bands, Total, was sent to jump the broadcaster outside her office. She detailed the alleged incident on her radio station in 2005 and again on her talk show in 2019.

“Once upon a time, there was a music mogul who sent his all-girl group to beat my ass in front of the radio station. Fact!,” she said on her TV show. Williams continued: “I get downstairs and find this girl group, jump out of a gypsy cab, to come after me. To kick my ass. I’m like, ‘For what?’ You know what I said was true. You all were broke and you were living in the projects, and that was that.”

Many people also believe that Combs had something to do with Williams’s firing from Hot 97, but this has never been proven. Her dismissal came after Williams had shared an image of the music mogul in a compromising position with another man on her website, which allegedly led to Combs calling her bosses and demanding that she be fired.

Surprisingly, when Combs came on Williams’s show in 2017, the two seemed to be on good terms, but given her recent comments about the rapper, it may have been slightly forced. She said to him in 2017, “I know I pissed a lot of people off, including you. But this is a full-circle moment.”
