Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow teamed up at the Grammys to perform ‘Industry Baby’.
It could have been a night to remember for Lil Nas X if he’d been victorious in the five categories he was nominated in, but alas, he left the Grammys empty-handed. He previously won two Grammys in 2020 for ‘Old Town Road’ and hoped to expand his trophy collection.
Montero was up for ‘Album of the Year’, and ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’ was up for ‘Record of the Year’ and ‘Best Music Video’. If it had won ‘Album of the Year’, Harlow would have been able to celebrate as a featured artist, but it wasn’t to be.
It would have been Harlow’s first Grammy, but he’ll have to wait a while longer. Undoubtedly, next year, he’ll be a fixture on the nominations list in several categories following the release of his second album, Come Home The Kids Miss You.
Lil Nas X’s performance began with a brief snippet of ‘Dead Right Now’, which also featured screens that showed the abuse he received because of his so-called ‘Satan shoes’. He then moved into ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’ before bringing Harlow out for ‘Industry Baby’.
