Watch Kanye West surprise crowd with performance at Travis Scott show

Ahead of the release of Kanye West’s new album with Ty Dolla $ign, Houston emcee Travis Scott decided to invite him on stage to perform at his Orlando show as a surprise guest on his Circus Maximus tour.

Shortly before the show, Travis Scott took to Twitter/X, writing, “ORLANDO TONIGHT IS GONNA BE SPECIAL!” The post immediately sparked speculation about a special guest.

In August last year, Ye made a surprise appearance at Scott’s exclusive live-streamed concert, which took place at an ancient Roman chariot-racing stadium shortly after the release of his project.

After performing his latest album, Utopia, Scott sang ‘Praise God’ and ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing’ from Kanye’s 2005 project Late Registration. After which, he proceeded to exclaim, There is no Utopia without Kanye West. There is no Travis Scott without Kanye West. There is no Rome without Kanye West. Make some noise for Ye.”

Many fans assumed it would be Drake joining Scott on stage as the Canadian’s ‘It’s All A Blur – Big As The What?’ tour kicks off in Florida this week. However, moments before his performance, a photo of West backstage sporting a Jason Voorhees-inspired mask surfaced online.

Since his 2022 manic tirade, West has taken to wearing face coverings in public, which has sparked great controversy and speculation about his mental health. However, regardless of this, West was more than happy to deliver a medley of his greatest hits, including, ‘Runaway’ and ‘All Of The Lights’ from his 2010 album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

To create even more excitement about their upcoming collaborative album, Ty Dolla $ign joined Ye to help bring ‘Fade’ and their latest single, ‘Vultures’, to life. You can watch footage from their performance below.
