Last night, Kanye West premiered his new album Donda 2 in Miami, and he brought an array of special guests to Florida.
As expected, it took an age for the stream to get underway, and fans at home were left waiting at home for close to three hours before Ye appeared walking on water. The set included a recreation of West’s childhood home in Chicago and also blazing fires.
The event lasted around 45-minutes, with West treating the crowd to new unheard tracks such as ‘Flowers’. However, he also aired recently released collaborations’ Eazy’ with The Game, and Ye was joined by Pusha T on-stage to play ‘Diet Coke’.
Additionally, there was also features from Migos and Jack Harlow, who were both in Miami to stand by Kanye as their songs played. Harlow’s collaboration included the sample of Kamala Harris’ infamous ‘We did it, Joe’ phone call to US President Joe Biden. Additionally, Ye said on the track: “I just stopped buying Louis bags after Virgil passed.”
Meanwhile, he also included a sample of Kim Kardashain’s SNL monologue from last year when she referred to her former partner as “the best rapper of all time” and the “richest Black man in America”.
However, the tone of the evening was marred during ‘Jail 2’ when West was joined by Marilyn Manson, who is facing multiple allegations of sexual assault and rape, which the singer denies. DaBaby also appeared on-stage with the pair.
